Red Legend

This painting is my tribute to one of the most iconic Formula 1 cars ever built. I focused on capturing the attitude and presence these machines had on track — the deep red bodywork, the sharp lines, the unmistakable silhouette that defined an era of dominance.

The soft grey background keeps the attention on the car itself, letting the colour and shape do the talking. It’s a piece for anyone who remembers the roar, the speed, and the feeling of watching a Ferrari charge down a straight. Red Legend is made for fans who still get a spark of excitement from that era of racing.

I started out with a pencil in hand, drawing portraits and learning to capture emotion through subtle lines and shadows. Over time, I found myself wanting more depth, colour, and freedom and that led me to oil painting.

These days, I love working with oil because of how it lets me explore contrast, light, and mood in a way pencil never could. My subjects are always changing. I’m drawn to anything with character, whether it’s a person, an old car, an animal, or even a building.

For me, painting is about looking more closely and finding something interesting in the everyday and bringing it to life with colour and light.
