Artwork Description

Artist Statement

Geometry of Expressions is a visual exploration of family, identity, and the emotional bonds that connect us. Through fragmented forms, layered textures, and intersecting geometric shapes, this mixed media work reflects the complexity of human relationships and the many roles we embody within a family.

At the heart of the composition stands the central female figure, symbolizing the wife, mother, and emotional anchor of the family. Positioned between the two surrounding figures, she represents the strength, compassion, and resilience that often hold a family together. Her presence serves as a bridge between generations, personalities, and perspectives, embodying the nurturing force that creates unity amid individuality.

The three faces are intentionally interconnected yet distinct, expressing the unique emotions, experiences, and identities that coexist within a family. The enlarged eyes act as windows into the inner world of each figure, conveying feelings of love, concern, hope, reflection, and understanding. Their differing expressions suggest the silent conversations, shared memories, and emotional complexities that shape family life.

The geometric divisions throughout the painting symbolize the many facets of human character and the challenges that inevitably arise within relationships. Yet despite these separations, the composition remains unified, reflecting how family bonds endure through differences, struggles, and change. The layered textures and mixed media surfaces further reinforce the idea that every individual carries a history of experiences, each layer contributing to a richer collective story.

Influenced by Cubist aesthetics while rooted in contemporary expression, Geometry of Expressions celebrates the often-unseen role of women as the emotional center of the family. It is both a tribute to maternal strength and a reflection on the interconnected nature of human relationships.

Through this work, I invite viewers to contemplate the roles they play within their own families and to recognize the beauty that emerges when diverse personalities, emotions, and experiences come together to form a unified whole. Geometry of Expressions is ultimately a celebration of connection, empathy, and the enduring power of family.
