As the sun sets, the campfire becomes the main focus of my painting. By using the element of fire in the scene, it draws the viewer directly into the artwork. A small fire crackles just behind them, using vibrant amber and yellow pigments to create a warm focal point against the fading light of the cool Australian coastline.

Materials: Winsor & Newton watercolours on artist quality 300gsm smooth-textured watercolour paper. FSC-certified and acid-free. (Non-cotton surface allows pigments to sit on top for higher vibrancy and fine detail).
