Artist Bio

Bianca is a proud Baarkandji woman, descending from Darling River people and their matrilineal ties to Mungo Man and Woman. She descends from a long line of talented and celebrated artists who in adulthood have instilled in herstrong binding connections to culture, family and country. Creating meaningful, beautiful and intricate artworks is not only in her heart but in her blood. Her pieces are a purposeful blend of modern and traditional styles that draw the viewer into her interpretation of a childhood largely disconnected from traditional community cultural influence. A stunning fusion between “modern life-traditional life”, “connection-disconnection" and isolation from her "life blood" Barka and its struggles give each piece enviable depth and meaning.
