Artwork Description

This piece is called The Girls - a soft, abstract reflection of the bond between women in a family.

At the centre is the mother, with two figures either side. For some, it’s a mother and her daughters. For others, it’s three generations: grandmother, mother, and daughter - each one shaped by the other, each one holding space in her own way.

The soft blues and teals speak to calm, emotion, and depth, like water, always moving, always connected. The bright pinks draw your eye to the heart of the painting, where the relationship lives - in that quiet, steady love that we often feel more than we say.

It’s about connection, legacy, and the invisible threads that hold us together.

Acrylic and oil pastels on canvas. Framed by artist in Tasmanian Oak.

Artist Bio

I grew up in Sydney by the beach, and the ocean has always been my happy place. There’s something about the movement, the colour, the energy of the water - it’s where I feel most myself and completely at ease. The deep blues, sea greens, and flashes of turquoise are colours I return to again and again in my work. I paint with acrylics on canvas and finish each piece with care, preserving both the texture and the natural movement of the pour. I often combine free-flowing pours with intentional brushstrokes to guide the composition and highlight key details - letting the paint move how it wants, while gently shaping the story I want to tell. Every artwork I create is unique and abstract. All of my works are either framed or have the option of being framed in natural wood for an additional cost.
