Still life is the foundation for much of my work. Recurring themes are often imagined table-scapes and botanicals with celestial impressions suggestive of the expansive world around us.
Threads of folk symbolism, rituals, a language of marks, hidden layers and imperfect or playful shapes add a complexity of subtle details to draw you in and look a little closer, whilst also being gestural of the human experience.
