Artwork Description

During 2017 I began working on a series called “the life and times of some kid” which was exhibited at the Urban Cow Studio in 2019. The series was a fabricated narrative focusing on encapsulating a highlight reel of the life of an unknown person who would die in their late teens. Ultimately trying to say that even a life cut short is still has great moments within it.

This painting is of a young couple sleeping wrapped up in a blanket.

Billy was part of 2021's SALA Festival Artist in Schools Program and has exhibited in group exhibitions across South Australia. He has held solo exhibitions at Brunswick Street Gallery (Vic), Sol Gallery (Vic), Floating Goose (SA), Collective Haunt (SA), Mixed Spice Studios (SA) and The Mill (SA).
