In 2022 I did an exhibition at Floating Goose Studios in Adelaide, South Australia called “Boys Boys Boys”
This series of works were interested in the socialisation of young boys, the symbols and images of suburban living that manifest themselves in the metaphysical world of our dreaming. They were looking at how dreaming and our wakeful lived experiences are intimately linked and how they interact with one another. Men’s and the artists own daydreaming and perceptions of what is real and how that influences their negative traits such as apathy, lethargy, and entitlement is at the centre of this work. The space between where we sleep and where dreams begin. The red hot, beating, fleshy, fever dream that is existing.

This painting was apart of that series and was named a poem called

"Sleeping on the couch again are we ?
Have you considered getting off my porch you sleaze ?
Collect your things and settle your rustled leaves and please, just leave.
I guarantee if you stop by next week I will likely say the same thing.
Begone, begone sleaze.
Pack up your things, your backpack, your thongs, your chips, your bong and weed.
Don’t let me catch you considering my front porch is a good place to sleep.
We didn’t even fight, you were inappropriate, I turned off the lights, and asked you to leave and yet here you are, catching some Z’s.
Please, please, I beg of thee,
Begone, sleaze.
Collect your things, your half eaten sandwich, your bad language and Nintendo wii,
Or is it a PlayStation 3?
Im asking politely, and honestly quite nicely, I think it’s time to leave. "
