Artist Bio

I currently reside in Perth but have spent the last few years living and working in remote parts of Australia including Queensland's Gulf, Channel Country and tropical far north, as well as WA's Kimberley, Pilbara, and Goldfields regions.

I paint mainly landscapes and marines but occasionally figurative art. I began painting in oils but have started using watercolour over the last few years due to travelling often.

I really enjoy the paintings of Hilda Rix Nicholas; the Heidelberg school and Streeton; Sargent; Turner; The Ten, and the whole French impressionist gang, amongst others. In my own paintings I am currently focused on seeing how far abstraction and economy in mark making can be taken and still produce a unified painting identifiable as a landscape image.

Mainly working on larger oil paintings at the moment but put up small watercolours here from time to time.
