Channel 10’s Flagship Morning Show Supports Created With Care

Bluethumb artist Kim Leutwyler was invited on Channel 10’s flagship morning show, Studio 10, to help spread the word about our Created With Care initiative with Handkrafted. The Studio 10 team provided the materials and the vibes, whilst Kim painted live on the show. The painting is being auctioned with all proceeds being donated to Good360, a way for businesses to donate brand new unsold goods to charities and Australians in need.

The initial idea was for Kim to paint a member of the panel, however, Kim wanted to involve everyone so suggested she did an abstract portrait of the whole panel. At the beginning of the show host Sarah Harris asked Kim what her plan was for the artwork. “I’m actually going to put together an abstract portrait kind of based off the vibes I’m getting form being here on the show so I’m very excited,” replied Kim. “In a way I’m doing an abstract portrait of all of you.” Everyone agreed this was a fun idea and a great way of showcasing the collaborative spirit of Created With Care.

Guest panelist Rob Mills, the Australian Idol finalist who is currently starring in Ghost The Musical, was particularly excited by the prospect of being painted. “I’ve never been painted before,” he exclaimed. Quick witted panelist Joe Hildebrand quipped, “I’ve been painted but not on canvas. More just someone painting my…,” as he rubbed his chest with his hands. “A bit like you and Denise [in Ghost The Musical].”
