Oil on wood, ready to hang.

This artwork comes with an external frame
It probably has something to do with my fear of heights. It started off as just a figure standing on a rocky out crop against a fantasy seascape scene. Then as I was painting, my tiny mind must have been digging down amongst my accumulated experiences of fearful high places, so that gradually the spectre of a giant hand coming out to grab you or perhaps save you from falling, if you looked down, began to materialise.
It is done on hardboard panel.
The frame is a tarnished looking gold one with a linen insert.
The framed dimensions are 59.7 w x 74.5 h x 2.4 d x 3.1kg w
The unframed dimensions - 45.7 w x 60.9 h x .05 d
The frame width including insert 7.5cm
It is ready to hang with plastic encased wire hanger and flat d ring hooks.
