Artwork Description

This work was inspired by a flight over a flooded Lake Eyre, Centre of Australia in 2019 a rare event. The Goyder Lagoon is the delta channels feeding Lake Eyre. The delta is a vast area of a multitude of intricate patterns of green set against the dry inland brown desert.

Artist Bio

Bob has been involved making art full time following retirement in 2015 and is based in his Windam Studio, Sydney, Australia. He is self-taught and has participated in workshops by well-known Sydney artists John Rice and Ann Cape.
Bob draws inspiration from the natural surroundings, people and places. He is also inspired by the masters from the 17th to 20th centuries, particularly Katsushika Hokusai and Tom Roberts. He led a local art group for 3 years, is a member of the Hornsby NSW Art Society (HAS) and listed on the National Register of Australian Art & Artists (NRAAA).
Bob practised fine art photography for many years however, changed to painting to better achieve and share his creative thoughts. He is continuously exploring the many avenues of art materials, mediums, subjects, styles and techniques.
Bob has exhibited in HAS exhibitions and awarded ‘Best Painting’ 2019 Members Exhibition.
