Artistic Statement: My art reflects the passage of time, capturing diverse emotions and experiences that unfold uniquely for each individual. My creative journey is divided into two epochs: guided by art’s sustenance and my commitment to bearing the art that shaped my existence. This transformation ignited a profound exploration of my creative process, fueled by research, practice, and unwavering dedication to the world of art.
Artistic Philosophy: Research is integral. I scoured junkyards, amassing inspiration from society’s castoffs. Trash becomes inspiration. This approach guides my journey. My collection and paintings have grown significantly. Australia marked a transition from gifting to building a portfolio embodying exploration.
Inspirations and Influences: My work draws inspiration from artists like Picasso, Klimt, Van Gogh, and Gauguin. Picasso’s impact, Klimt’s shimmer, Van Gogh’s resilience, and Gauguin’s devotion to art and spirituality have profoundly shaped my creative journey. The rich thematic quality in my work also reflects my physical, spiritual, and cultural travel. I am shaped by Kerala’s riverbanks, where driftwood and pebbles fueled my creativity. As a Christian Malayalam speaker, I witnessed cultural shifts as my people sought security. My work echoes identity, conflict, faith, and cultural change themes.
Artistic Process: My process involves meticulous exploration of ideas within my mind. Essential illustrations and extensive research ensure emotions and concepts accurately transfer onto canvas. The interplay of techniques, mediums, and styles keeps my art dynamic and ever-evolving.
