Artwork Description

"Red Sky Wave" is an intense expressive seascape / abstract landscape wherein the long horizontal calmness of the horizon is interrupted with a dynamic wave splash, and aggressive red sky. The sea is beautiful, but also dangerous. This painting captures that push-pull between extremes.

My influences include contemporary expressionist painters, as well as Edvard Munch, and David Hockney.
