In the heart of the Yugambeh language group, 'Nungalgiri' means 'Summer,' a season of warmth and abundance. But for me, as an Indigenous artist, 'Nungalgiri' signifies a deep connection to our ancestors and their enduring teachings. It's a story that transcends time, preserving ancient wisdom passed down for tens of thousands of years.

Within the same language, 'Guttara' means 'Coral.' Coral reefs are not just underwater wonders; they are storytellers of the oceans. Like coral, our Aboriginal Nations have upheld their sacred duty to protect and sustain our coastal communities.

My Nungalgiri Guttara Collection is a tribute to the profound bond between Aboriginal people and our ancestral lands. It's a homage to our enduring connection, a legacy that has stood the test of time. Our heritage is not only about culture but also a profound understanding of the natural world.
