Swimming Hole is an artwork about the Avon river in York Western Australia. the painting depicts the river that flows behind the Aboriginal reserve 3 miles outside the town of York. the top left of the artwork is were the reserve is situated,
the reserve is were my water grew up with other aboriginal families forced to live on the reserve until 1967. my father took me out to the reserve and showed me were they used to swim in summer in the deep part of the river, I noticed a slight fork were the spot was and flew the drone to get the composition for this artwork,
the painting also shows the land and vegetation from the area Balladong Nyoonagr land.
