Brenda Runnegar is an award-winning artist living and working in Canberra. She has a lifelong interest in the arts and graduated from Canberra School of Art in 1985. In 2007 she completed a Master of Fine Arts by research from Monash University. She works full time on her art practice as both an artist and photographer. Brenda has always been interested in travel and has found that, by spending extended time within very different landscapes, she has an ability to engage with the land by turns as a resident, visitor and privileged interpreter to develop a relationship with it. She has been included in various high-profile group exhibitions, including the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize. Her work predominately examines aspects of the landscape and the documentation of the natural world and is included in various private collections, both nationally and internationally.
