This is a beautiful spot found at Kualoa Ranch , Oahu, Hawaii. I was fortunate to travel to Hawaii just before covid hit and reflecting on this holiday often helped me through the difficult times ahead.
Can you imagine sitting under the palm tree that is just out of sight in this painting but is causing the shadows in the foreground? It is a warm day, but under the shade it’s lovely.
Painted with oil paints over a 6 month period, due to the many many layers, this is on professional grade canvas and comes framed .
The canvas stretcher is made from triple kiln dried, finger jointed pine. The stretcher is 35mm deep. The float frames are made with 100% Australian grown oak. Each frame is made to fit the accompanying canvas with an approximately 5mm float gap between the canvas and frame.
Each Canvas is Hand stretched with premium quality 11oz (380gsm) triple primed cotton duck .

I love all different types of art, am inspired by so many things I see and lots of different styles influence what I feel and want to create. So I can never stick with only one style or one medium. I need to express myself freely with whatever has influenced me on that day. And whatever style I need to do to expresss my feelings at that time. I love creating art works using oils, acrylics, resin , watercolours and mixed media. I am inspired by my surroundings so I paint in many different styles including ,but not limited to, abstract and impressionism. I adore using colour and shape to invoke an emotional reaction from the viewer and love exploring different mediums and styles, colours and textures and creating depth in my pieces.
