Like every artist I'm a product of my environment. Luckily, it's an environment of stunning nature: the bushland, rainforests, seasides, and waterways in South East Queensland and further afield. I treasure the hidden beauty of the roadsides and paths, the swamps and streams, the expanses of sky, and the intimate little corners many people just drive past.
The colours and textures of my world have deep meaning for me, and my drive to share them has led to a life-long study of how light and colour work in the real world, and how they can be represented. For many years I enjoyed the simple power of watercolour, and working within that rigour taught an innate understanding and discipline. Moving to acrylics unleashed all that in a way that surprised me, and allowed me to ramp up to bigger and bolder works.
I will always keep experimenting, learning, and making sense of the world through my personal art, and Iβm excited to showcase and offer some of the pieces here in the hope youβll enjoy them too.
