“PERSONA BECOMES EGO” is a body of work that celebrates and analyses the Self and the personal portrait. Using Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung’s ‘MAP OF THE SOUL’ theory of the mind, abstract mark-making and collage come together to explore the human psyche and provide a safe space for reflection regarding the Shadow Self.
This work especially focuses on the separate between the Persona Mask, and the true self of the Ego, and the Persona's act of protection.
