This fig painting is made with oil paint, done with both brushes and a pallet knife. With a subtle, plain background, the figs stand out with their bright and saturated look. This painting was inspired by a number of things. Mainly, I wanted this painting to have a classical feel to it, I feel that figs hark back to ancient Greece.
