My love of roses has encouraged me to depict them in many ways. From abstract to precise form. They keep cropping up in my paintings regularly and these two smaller paintings, four even tinier ones along with a much bigger painting 102 x 102cm have become a series I have just completed. I paint from my farm in the Hunter Valley surrounded by gums, dams and Wollombi Brook. I have 40 acres of undulating vistas and flora and fauna to Inspire and fill my canvases. I like to paint big and colorful to brighten people’s days and walls. I paint on my verandah most of the year listening to Blues. I can’t think of anything I’d rather do.
