Artwork Description

The language of line, the hands mark making ability is going through a transition as we pass into the digital age. To retain our primal nature is imperative , whilst the humble body gesture and linear storytelling unravels.

Artist Bio

Painting is a constant process of discovery for me. I studied Painting at RMIT, completing an Honours degree, before going on to study Graphic Design at Swinburne University. I worked as a designer while continuing to exhibit my paintings, and both disciplines continue to inspire and inform my practice.
I’m fascinated by the relationships between colours and forms — how they nuzzle against one another, squeeze between, or come to rest together — and how these interactions spark emotional and physical responses. The way shapes and tones inhabit space becomes charged with meaning, offering moments of tension, harmony, or play.
Abstraction provides a platform for viewers to encounter their own connections with these forms. In this space, doors and windows open in the imagination, inviting curiosity, stimulation, and delight. I hope to convey a sense of playfulness that can hold attention and serve as visual poetry for the eyes.
Architecture, technology, and the human body continue to offer rich sources of inspiration for my process, guiding the evolution of my work.
