Working in an Aboriginal health team within CACH I am very aware of Aboriginal women’s health issues. I have work alongside and also created links to other Aboriginal networks such as: Jannine Gliddon – KEMH, Denese Griffen – AMSSU, Tracey Reibel – TICHR and many more more. Working in an Aboriginal Health Service and also at TICHR as the Aboriginal researcher for the Young Aboriginal Women's Voice on Pregnancy women with voices ) I travelled the state visiting Aboriginal communities collecting information to bring back to the AMSSU as a part of the research to ensure that all Aboriginal women across the state has a voice in regards to the pregnancy journey. My previous experiences has also highlighted other health issues that are leading causes of health conditions such as cardiovascular, diabetes, asthma, cervical cancer, breast cancer, mental health, kidney disease and STI’s (more common in younger women), poor birth rates, infant mortality, middle ear infections, low birth rates in Australian Aboriginal women
