Artwork Description

This piece was created during Lockdown 2021, Chaos meets Hope are the vibes of this one.
As an Abstract Expressionist Painter my mood always set the vibe for each painting. With each layer my mood changes throughout giving each piece depth and emotion.

Artist Bio

To whom it may or may not concern;

I am an abstract Expressionist Painter who studied Contemporary Art at the University of Tasmania in 2011. I have been painting since I was 9, having time off here and there but consistently evolving as an artist.

The sheer amount of styles & phases I have been through is crazy, I have been so influenced by my idols Picasso, Basquait, Arthur Boyd, Kandinsky...... I could go on for days! It's actually funny to go through my growth as an artist ... you can really see what I was vibing with at the time. Whereas now I am my own vibe!

I am very established as an artist these days so my own style is very prominent and distinct. The combination of contemporary abstract expressionism and urban graffiti!
Kapow!!

Painting was and is my personal trauma response to severe longterm childhood sexual abuse. Without having this escape I would not be here anymore. Being a survivor of Stockholm's Syndrome especially has really changed my brain and perspective on people and life and therefore art.

Art saves my life time and time again, it consistanly gives me a safe mental space and the expressive plane I need in order to organize my chaotic mind. Groovy hey, art is my medicine!

I live and breathe colour.
When I was younger I knew that when I grew up I wanted to be an artist and nothing else. I feel I visualized my destiny before I knew what destiny supposedly meant.

I love creating pieces to express major emotions abstractly at a large scale...its so powerful!
More recently I've been painting emotively based on reactions to world events which has been very therapeutic but also pivotal as an artist.
