As I have sifted through some of my previous pieces recently, I have found a few different points of story telling evolve.
The duality of light and dark that resides within all of us has been a theme within a few of my paintings.
Expressed strongly in the painting ("And the Winner is Orange Sherbet") sitting sneakily behind me in the photo and in my ‘A Boat Time’ series where the duo tone background holds representation of light and dark - mostly holding the light above the dark as a symbol for rising above what weighs us down, yet importantly still keeping the darker side there as a reminder of what grounds us.
