I have been working for many years in the visual arts realm, combining teaching and my own arts practise. Primarily as a painter, working in acrylics, I studied art at the National Art School, Sydney and have been exhibiting and participating in art awards for many years, selected for the Portia Geach Portrait Prize, short listed for the ‘On this Day’ Art Award at the Sydney Power House with Brett Whiteley as patron and group shows on the Central Coast.
I moved to Brisbane in the mid 90's and have been fortunate to continue exhibiting in group and solo exhibitions, picking up prizes in the Matthew Flinders Art Show and the Cathedral of St Stephens Art Show as well as some feature articles in Art Edit magazine and Australian Artist.
I’ve chosen themes that allow me to interpret the complex landscape. Exploring pockets of wilderness amongst suburbia, I enjoy the sense of movement, the vibrancy, the chaos of mangroves, the bush, banksias the ocean, swirling and flamboyant at its wildest.
