Cavallo Misterioso

This painting took many months to complete. I would work on it and then not touch it for a few weeks. Then, whenever I went back to it, I would have a different idea of the direction that I wanted to go with it. It started its life as controlled and tight and as our world (as we know it) started to fall apart, it became less controlled and a little wild; and morphed into what it now is.

Completely by accident, a horse appeared. Not everyone will see it, at least not at first, but it's there. Hint: it's more to the right. I chose the name of this painting because of the horse.

As a child I loved (and indulged in) all sorts of arts and crafts, but I never had any idea about painting.

I first picked up a paintbrush in January 2014, with no clue what to do with it. Since then, I've experimented with many different paint types and brands; ways of applying paint; resin; and different types of supports (painting surfaces).

Because I like variety and I like to keep things fresh, I don't have a particular style or favourite way of producing a painting. I work with how my mood takes me on the day and I'm often surprised at the result.
