Artwork Description

The name Lorraine is often associated with nobility and strength, and is often chosen for its classic, elegant, and sophisticated sound.

This painting is worthy of the name Lorraine.

The gold is imitation gold leaf and will appear slightly different in colour, depending on the light; that is why there is colour variation in the photos.

The background is a Matisse colour called Australian Ghost Gum, and not the white that it appears to be in some of the photos.

Acrylic paint, texture paste and imitation gold leaf on a cradled wooden board. Signed on the side edge.

Artist Bio

As a child I loved (and indulged in) all sorts of arts and crafts, but I never had any idea about painting.

I first picked up a paintbrush in January 2014, with no clue what to do with it. Since then, I've experimented with many different paint types and brands; ways of applying paint; resin; and different types of supports (painting surfaces).

Because I like variety and I like to keep things fresh, I don't have a particular style or favourite way of producing a painting. I work with how my mood takes me on the day and I'm often surprised at the result.

If you don't currently see anything in my portfolio that interests you, perhaps you might like to follow me. You never know when I might produce a piece that perfectly matches your taste or requirements.
