Odette

The name Odette is from French and German origin and means "wealth," "wealthy," or "fortunate". It is considered an elegant and sophisticated name, often associated with grace and strength. It has a vintage, refined appeal.
I think this painting is worthy of the name Odette.

The gold is imitation gold leaf and will appear slightly different in colour, depending on the light; that is why there is colour variation in the photos.

As a child I loved (and indulged in) all sorts of arts and crafts, but I never had any idea about painting.

I first picked up a paintbrush in January 2014, with no clue what to do with it. Since then, I've experimented with many different paint types and brands; ways of applying paint; resin; and different types of supports (painting surfaces).

Because I like variety and I like to keep things fresh, I don't have a particular style or favourite way of producing a painting. I work with how my mood takes me on the day and I'm often surprised at the result.
