Artwork Description

Muyan is about skin, or the groups, or people that we belong to. In English I would say 'connected to' but we say 'I belong him, he belong me' and it means something a little more than connected to. The two main circles represent the celestial bodies that connect us to place and country. The other circles are the other groups that are connected to us. We travel to these groups back and forth and the circles tell us of the bond we have with them. As Aboriginal people we see all this when we look up at the
stars.
