Artwork Description

The mere mention of Bali evokes thoughts of a paradise, beautiful beaches, warm weather etc...but for me it’s more than that, it’s more than a beautiful place; it’s a mood, an aspiration, a true tropical state of mind.

In this serie, I was inspired by some of the famous Bali landscapes.

Bali offers an unique colour palette across its landscapes, wildlife, food, which makes it easy to seek inspiration wherever you look. In this serie, I will explore a different colour palette that I normally use.

I want through this palette induce the same calm and relax vibe that I found in Bali, but at the same time
it still playful and a vibrant place.

Anything with a tropical vibe, bold and bright colours, they are sure to brighten up any dull day.

Artist Bio

Bruno Mota is a Brazilian artist based in Sydney. He was born in 1983 in Santos, a beautiful coastal city in Brazil.
Bruno started his career in 1996 as an Art Director working in several creative agencies and developing skills in multimedia and print design. After spending 13 years working with creative agencies he decided to focus his time towards creating art.
Bruno uses acrylics to express his ideas onto canvas through bright block colours and is inspired by all the places he travels to. The works are vibrant and full of life, making each scene jump off the canvas.
When discussing his creative philosophy, Bruno is inspired by a Jackson Pollock quote "Painting is self-discovery. Every good artist paints what he is".
This eccentric world of Bruno’s bold abstract lines, striking landscapes and bold use of colour will enrich your own perspective of the world.
