Angling...

Angling is a common site in Southern beaches of Sri Lanka. You could see the fishermen balancing on the stilts which is an iconic image. These anglers manage to catch a mix of small reef fish by using just a stick and a fixed line.

I was born in Sri Lanka and migrated to Australia many years ago, with a passion for painting from a very tender age. Always backed up by my mother, since my first art on a sheet of Asbestos, growing up among coconut trees and beaches added to my imagination.
My art is inspired by the vibrant colours of tropical flora and fauna, Australian Autumn, cultural traditions and Buddhist philosophy.
