Angling is a common site in Southern beaches of Sri Lanka. You could see the fishermen balancing on the stilts which is an iconic image. These anglers manage to catch a mix of small reef fish by using just a stick and a fixed line.

My passion for painting began at a very young age. Born in Sri Lanka, I grew up surrounded by coconut trees, sandy beaches, and the vivid colours of island life before migrating to Australia many years ago.
