Artwork Description

Anyone who has been to Fraser Island would agree that it is one of the most perfect places in all of Australia. The island was the traditional home for the Butchulla people, who called it K'gari - meaning paradise. Known for its unique landscapes of sand dunes, rainforests and lakes and reefs, it is one of the most iconic tourist destinations in Australia. This painting will bring back those memories of camping, 4WD and fishing on Fraser Island for any family who have made this their holiday destination.

Artist Bio

I'm a 31 year old primary school teacher working in beautiful tropical Yeppoon, QLD. However, painting is my one true passion. I am obsessed with painting pictures from photos I have taken while travelling around Australia. The natural beauty found in so many locations inspire me everyday. From the colours of the Coral Sea to the sunburnt skies of outback Australia, I love painting it all. Recently, I started painting Australian wildlife and will continue to explore this subject through my art. I also love painting pictures that are sentimental to others, such as pet portraits, wedding photos or family photos in general.
