Artwork Description

This piece is one of a series I created called, " Pink Paradise. " It represents the vibrancy of country and encapsulates how I feel when I'm back in Broken Hill on country. The river represents the deep connection I feel to the Barkaa ( river) and other symbols explore different aspects of the bush/country.

Artist Bio

Hello! My name is Caitlyn (Dustin-Koa Art) and I am an Aboriginal (Barkindji) artist, psychologist and mum, creating here on Kaurna country (Adelaide). My paintings tell stories, express emotions, recreate moments from my life, and are reflective of those I surround myself with/am inspired by. I aim to reflect the patterns, colours and elements of the land I see across the area around Broken Hill and Menindee as this is the place I feel the most calm, connected and rested. Throughout my artwork, I tell old stories and new, reflective of both mine and my father's experiences through life so far.
Thank you for taking the time to view my work :)
