Inspired by the famous Greek myth of Sisyphus. The term ‘Sisyphean’ relates to attempting to complete a task that can never be completed. In the tale of Sisyphus, Sisyphus is punished by the gods & tasked with moving a large rock (boulder) up a steep hill. Once at the top of the hill, the rock forever rolls back to the bottom where the task gets repeated for eternity. The myth suggests that this is a representation of life.
