Artwork Description

From a new series 'Push, pull', this piece is close to the artists heart.
Having recently become a mother, I’ve been fascinated by the intrinsic bond shared between parent and baby, and the hours upon hours spent tethered together, in a space that hadn’t existed before. ‘Magic’ is an expression of the comfort, warmth and connection felt during this time between parent and child, an assembly of limbs intertwined as though they’ve always been, hours upon hours, yet moments that fly by too fast.

Zesty colours and gestural marks create an abstract textural artwork that will bring warmth to any room.

I'm a painter based on the land Kombumerri people, in Burleigh Heads, Qld.
A graduate of COFA, UNSW, I worked as a designer in Sydney for 10 years, before moving to the Gold Coast and pursuing my art practice.

Growing up on Ngunnawal country surrounded by bush and the Brindabella ranges, I've always been inspired by the natural environments around me. My practice weaves between the interiority of private moments with landscape elements, and the connection of colours and form to emotions. I enjoy incorporating visual narratives through a mix of abstract art, and illustrative works, combining bold colours and expressive marks.
