Artwork Description

This is the last trip of the Star of Greece, an iconic figure from the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. The Star of Greece was a three masted, iron cargo ship wrecked in Port Willunga Beach in 1888. A wild storm in these calm waters was to blame for this unfortunate event. However the real cause was a giant squid that is still wondering in the depths of the ocean near the Fleurieu.
