Carla Cassidy is Modern Impressionist, focusing on the effect of light at dawn and dusk. Her work is tactile, with thick brushstrokes and mark making. She worked in Fashion and Textiles and has a love of colour and texture that translates into her Neo Expressionist abstracts and Impressionist sea/landscapes
She paints en plein air and from photographs of beach and coastal, mountains and rolling hills of agriculture.
