Artwork Description

Verdant View is a contemporary style semi abstract impression of an exotic garden landscape.
Semi Abstract floral and botanical forms, marks and patterns entwine and flow together. inspired by my own tropical garden but with a predominantly green palette using a creamy beige to highlight details and patterns. The Painting gives a sense of a serene depth, with the intricacies of the tropical leaves and fronds. Illustrated Impressions of florals such as orchids, lily, bat flowers and such. The full size of the painted artwork is 200cm x 120cm. There is extra canvas for stretching.

The artwork has various layers of water colour techniques, brush strokes, flowing drips and palette knife textures to create a vibrant and almost alive and nourished garden or rainforest.

The artwork is fully sealed, signed on the front and titled on the back. It includes a signed certificate of authenticity.

The artwork is sent rolled for the collector to stretch for hanging. Alternatively Bluethumb has their own stretching / framing options you can simply choose. The images showing external frames in both black and natural Oak is for reference only and not included. The artwork will need stretching by either the optional Bluethumb service or take to your local and preferred framing company.

If left stretched and no external framing, the edges are primed and have been painted with patterns and drips to follow on from the artwork iteself. All paint used is professional Artist paints, with a high quality 450gsm premium 100% cotton canvas.

Artist Bio

Carley is a successful artist, one of the top 20 selling artists with Bluethumb that has also been featured recently on The Block 2025. Her style has a free fanciful and intuitive way of letting her artistic visions flow. Carley's love for the natural world, flora, botanicals and landscapes excites her artistic imagination . She particularly has a fondness for the Tropics and Australian Native Florals. Carley has attended various Artist short courses over a number of years, in Australia and England, and uses various techniques to create a different style to most. She produces unique, abstract, impressions full of colour, life, forms and marks with a floral and botanical theme. Mainly working with Acrylics, oil pastels, watercolours and charcoal, in her distinctive style, creating original art pieces.


Carley works from her home studio, Sunshine Coast, where she emigrated to over 17 years ago from England. She takes a lot of her inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding her, or the tropical coastal lifestyle.


This year 2025 Carley’s artwork was featured on The Block. She has also been included in 3 Group Exhibitions in Noosa alongside showing at the Brisbane Affordable Art Fair. Carley's artwork has been featured on two TV shows in 2024, Channel 7 'Dream Home' hosted by Chris Brown, and 'Selling Houses'.


Carley has most recently collaborated with Melbourne based Gift Card company to produce three money cards of Mastercard, Eftpos and cash gift cards. She has worked with Australian and international brands collaborating to produce creations from cosmetic season packaging (O Hui/LG) , Milpali Swimwear, Sol Seeker luxury eco picnic mats, fashion brands Xyza Savannah, gin packaging for Covent Garden Gin company, and more.


Carley has been featured in the Grand Designs Magazine July - September edition. Also featured on Channel 10 Roads Less Travelled tv show (October 2021 series 2, episode 8), Carley's local town of Noosa featured including Carley's works during her solo exhibition at the Butterfactory. During the last 12months Carley has grown further and July 2021 saw Carley open her first major Solo Exhibition 'Flora Collective' which featured a body of large Canvas and Paperworks. In September 2021 the huge online Interior Design and style website 'Style Curator' produced an artist feature with a question and answer article.
Carley's work has also been featured on Channel 7's TV hit show 'House Rules 2020'. Artwork included Morocco Dreaming Ltd Ed Fine Art Print.
