As a member of the Indigenous Art Code Bluethumb is proud to have established direct partnerships with some of Australia's most respected First Nation's artists and art centres.
The young women are travelling around the country near Kaltukarjara (Docker River) with the older ladies. They are learning many things about where to collect special grasses and flowers and other types of bush tucker.
Carlie Bennett was born in Alice Springs then spent her youth growing up in Warakurna and Tjukurla - the country of her father and aunty who have now passed. Carlie is now based in Docker River to stay with her mother and artist, Raylene Larry.
