The colours in this peice are truly beautiful! This work is a portrait of my daughter Frankie George. I began painting again after she was born back in 2009. I had a large break from my creativity and painting after finishing Art School.
My kids were the inspo to me picking my brush back up again. This work was a stepping stone to where I am now. I felt the need to capture her in these moments in time. She has these piercing cat eyes that would always say so much. I use bold colours and style in most of my work. Its a reflection of who I am and what I like. If you check out my Instagram page @carlyinart you will find the progression shots of where this work began. It is now hanging in my STUDIO_ GALLERY @the Gladstone Hub that I opened at the end of 2019. It is waiting for its new home.
