I have driven passed many houses like this one on our road trips around the Australian outback. A red tin roof on a house with a verandah and a windmill on the side. Dry yellow grass around it and the hills in the background. I love these old houses, and I have painted many of them over the years. The pink sky with tinges of blue is the exact colour we saw many times while driving in the early hours of the morning.
This is a mixed media painting in acrylics and inks on a gallery stretched canvas. The sides are painted black. Framing is optional but not necessary.
