Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed certificate of authenticity.

My life has always revolved around the beach. This beach scene was inspired by one of the many lazy days that I have spent lying on the sand. The colours of the water, the feeling of my feet on the sand, the smell of salt, are just some of the wonderful sensations that I tried to depict. The sailing boats in the distance and the bigger boats in the middle ground are part of the feeling of summer.
Most of the work was done with the palette knife as it suits my impressionist style.
The artwork has a strong wire at the back and it does not require framing.

There is a bicycle leaning against the wall of a building on the right side of the painting. Also a blue bench. Greenery and red hibiscus flowers cascading from the buildings. Pot plants on the footpaths. Balconies on the buildings. Beautiful Spring day on Sydney Harbour.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge at the end of the foreshore.
The Sydney Opera House across the water but not far away. Boats and yachts on the water. Pink Jacaranda flowers in full bloom on the foreground.
