This is a scene that came into my mind during my daily walk one morning in early spring. I was impacted by the colourful flowers and the manner in which they were displayed at the front of a house.
Ready to hang. Impressionist style. Most of the painting was done with the palette knife in order to achieve the required texture.

People sitting under the umbrellas enjoying drinks. The buildings are white, old colonial buildings from the time of the Spanish and the Portuguese. There is a bicycle leaning against the wall of a building on the right side of the painting. Also a blue bench. Greenery and red hibiscus flowers cascading from the buildings. Pot plants on the footpaths. Balconies on the buildings. View of main street of The Rocks in Sydney in the evening. Bright lights illuminate the buildings on both sides of the street, giving the scene a shimmering ochre colour glow.
