Artwork Description

On a trip to England I fell in love with the many different types of stone walls as well as the wide range of beautiful flowers just growing wild on the sides of the road. Add to this the gorgeous stone houses and I knew that one day I had to try and recapture some of these images.

I am basically a self taught artist as my arts degree consisted more of essay writing than any painting tuition. I enjoy working with different mediums and topics but have a special fondness for portraiture and find the challenge of creating an exact likeness to be very fulfilling. I have created some reasonably large works but also enjoy painting intricately detailed scenes on small beach shells.I am a daydreamer and this is where most of my inspiration comes from.
