Artwork Description

I was inspired by all the lovely banyan trees in Darwin and the life that is in and around these monsters. So I just had to hide a little lizard amongst the tangled branches.

White frame with double mat and glass, framed size 104x88cm

Artist Bio

I have been drawing and painting since a very young age, but have only been working full time in the last few years. I am inspired by our beautiful countryside and unique characters. I used manly pastels, but in the last 6-7 years have moved to using Coloured pencils and Metalpoint (24ct gold and silver)
Coloured pencil is finally coming into its own as a recognised fine art medium and MetalPoint is a technique that has been used since the time of the old masters. Both mediums allow for the precision, control of detail and depth of the work I enjoy and am obsessed with.
