Artwork Description

An eye catching, dynamic explosion of colour created through the repetitive printing of string and rope and intermittent sanding. Bright yellow, with its layered dance of printed colour, the painting brings a positive vibe to the room and the eye of the beholder giving a KAPOW! day or night.

"I like to connect emotionally with the viewer through either the conceptual message or more abstractly the colour and line I paint. I have been exploring the emotion of printed line through the String Series body of work. Using acrylic paint on shoelace/string/twine/rope I create mood using the colours and the part random/part controlled line the string prints as I guide it down onto the canvas. "
