Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
This oil painting is based on a photograph I took on a small island in the Whitsundays. We had gone there for a bare boat sailing trip a few years ago with some of my old travelling buddies from all over the place and had found this small island to stop and have lunch on. It was an idyllic spot (even though the coral was dead!) Luckily for us, most of the coral in the water was NOT dead, and we had a fantastic week snorkelling on the reef.
I love this painting as I used a fairly restrained palette (for me!) for the coral, but it has all the bright orange pandanus flowers that flow across the canvas which is the best part of it I think.
