Artwork Description

A sign of the times with drought affecting the South Eastern corner of Queensland's border ranges. Although the colours are remarkable, the barren landscape has a tragic quality in such a usually verdant area. Even the kangaroos seek shade from hot, dry summer.

Artist Bio

Carolyn Cave is an artist who enjoys using oils, acrylics, pencil and charcoal. She has a specific interest in landscapes and animals and has been commissioned by friends and others to do pet portraits and some landscapes.

Being a country girl, she prefers the natural moods and colours of the Australian countryside and its animals however is not limited to these as subjects. Carolyn chooses to follow the Impressionist style.
